This weekend I made another trip down south along with my sister to visit our parents, and on this trip, my sister upgraded both our tickets to First Class! A first for me. We got in/out of the plane faster and had bigger, more comfortable seats. I couldn’t ask for wine or beer though since I always take dramamine before a flght.

It was a beautiful day on Saturday! My mom had to attend a funeral that afternoon so we just meandered around to the local marketplace by foot with my Dad. Then we were joined by my other sister and her family that afternoon for a birthday celebration with my niece. Nicholas and Wesley called me on my cellphone several times throughout the day… perhaps in high anticipation of my going to Disneyland because I always get them something from there if I go to Disneyland without them, but since my season pass had already expired, I was in no hurry to renew.

On Sunday, it just rained and rained so we just stayed indoors and played with the kids. Luckily, we had a smooth flight home (with only minor delays at the terminal). These weekend excursions are so short, but it’s been so wonderful seeing my family as often as I do this past year, and I definitely appreciate most of all Alex’s willingness to accommodate these monthly trips of mine away from him and the kids.
