Mommy’s Guilty Pleasure
No, it’s not chocolates. Well, it could be, but this is even better. Ghost Hunters: a reality-based show that just finished it’s 2nd season on the SciFi channel and documents the exploits of TAPS, a team of paranormal investigators, that goes to famously haunted places and tries to prove or “debunk” the ghostly experiences reported by homeowners or groundskeepers using scientific methods of identifying the source of these anomalies or providing cold-hard evidence of the unexplained phenomenons encountered. This show gives me the bone-chilling creeps sometimes, and I make Alex watch it with me most of the time. They’ve visited the Winchester Mystery House, Queen Mary, and many other famous haunts. They have a Halloween night special coming up. Check out these links for more details:

Added on October 31st, 2005 at 9:50 amI found another show similar to such on the Travel Channel called “Most Haunted Live”… with a live broadcast feed straight from England into a live studio filled with audience members. There’s certainly spooky events that occur (the wrapup happens tonight), but we just don’t hear well some of the knockings on tables/etc. that the medium/hostess claims they are hearing. Tables move, etc. but it’s a little too glam and glitze full of true (but potential hearsays) on the show. Entertaining, but a bit over the top for my taste.
