Wesley’s Spring Program

Wesley’s spring program went off without a hitch, and both Alex and I were so proud and happy to see him in his element during the entire performance. The 15-minute program took place on Monday 10:30am, May 14th in Room A5, and the program began with a quick speech by the preschool director followed by a procession of kids trailing in one-by-one from the playground entrance. Wesley was one of the last kids to file in but when he entered, he made a spectacular scene with his giddy smile and happy face topped off with a self-made clown hat adorned with an array of colorful prints. For the 1st half of the program, Wesley was well hidden behind a cute little girl and every now and then, we’d catch a glimpse of his toothless smile as the kids did their little hand gestures and body movements. Then, after the kids adorably transitioned to their new positions, Wesley was right smack center stage with another 2 little girls with everyone else on either sides of the room. I was thinking OMG, no wonder the teachers were freaking out over his mis-cooperation during the practices. He would’ve ruined the entire show if decided to let his inner “id” run wild. Thank goodness he was on his best behavior today. I’ve never been prouder in my life, and I’m sure the teacher as well. :-)

Well done Wesley!! You may just be these kids who perform well under pressure … sounds like a boy whom I am very familiar with! :)
Grace, trust me I know exactly what you went through! :)
