Nicholas is now enrolled in the Sea Lion class and he has 2 teachers this session: Miss Ashley and Mr. Darrick. Also, he gets to swim in the lap lanes (which gets gradually deeper toward the middle section of the lane) so they put these removable ledges in the water for the kids to stand on once they get to that end. He’s learning the bent arm freestyle as well as back/side strokes, but I’m still hoping they’d step up that treading water skills he badly needs.

Wesley has Mr. Adam (Nicholas’ old teacher) and Mr. Carl in his Octopus class this session. Unfortunately, Wesley threw a fit the 1st week of class because he doesn’t like switching teachers (something we’ve had to struggle with many many times before) so we skipped the 1st class altogether. As a result, Wesley was forced to help me put away all his new toys in the closet. He didn’t like that one bit but was given no choice. This 2nd week, it took some coercing from Mr. Adam, but finally he gave in and did a great job in class, and he got to take one toy back out of the closet too. Whew… Alex and I were so close to calling it quites for Wesley this session.
