Hoorah both boys got their 1st ribbon from swim class these weeks. Nicholas earned his Jellyfish ribbon last week and has started to progress beyond the gliding phase to actually kicking his feet. Never seen swimming broken down to these level of mechanics, but well… whatever works! At the end of this week’s class, Nicholas was pretty much swimming on his own face down in the water, but he was making funny S-shapes going every which way but straight… funny and cute. And yesterday, Wesley was so proud to show me at the showers that he got a ribbon just like Nicholas. His was a seahorse ribbon and his face beamed with delight over the exciting achievement. And after class, the boys were treated to a bag of mini-muffins brought in by our friend Elizabeth! Wesley is using his ribbon for share day today at school.
