Ni Hao, Kai-Lan
My sister told me about this TV series that airs on Nick Jr some time ago, and it was only recently that I recorded some episodes to check out. She told me that so many of her coworkers’ kids are learning Chinese by watching this show — it’s basically a Chinese (Mandarin) version of Dora, and their kids are speaking Chinese phrases here and there as a result. My niece’s best friend (a cute little blond boy) in preschool is now calling his younger sister Mei-Mei too, and the mom was so deliriously happy about him being able to practice Chinese with my niece. Nicholas and Wesley have been watching these episodes, and it’s even a lot of fun for me as I am able to help repeat the Chinese phrases and words for them in case they missed any along the way. I believe this is the show’s first season. I just hope they continue this series like they’ve done with Dora.

We’ve only started watching a short while ago so I’m looking forward to the day when they can even correct me or Alex. You’re mandarin is quite good too Yuie. I was so surprised last time I heard you speak.
