March Sickness

Never mind the NCAA playoffs…. but March is certainly a month to remember. The snow, hail, rains, and onslaught of nonstop sickness in our family. Nicholas has been sick twice this month already, Wesley is on his 2nd bout, and Grace just started on her first this past weekend. We have relied on the in-laws to help out with the kids, but with their ailing health and age this solution will also be short-lived. I’ve always enjoyed rainy days since childhood because of the quiet solice it brings to the soul, but the sickness this lingering weather has brought upon our family certainly leaves something to be desired. Rain, rain, go away… come again another day!

Yeah, I don’t give my kids vitamin C drops but they take gummy bear vitamins - regular and C. I also let them drink more juice those days that have 100% Vitamin C. As for the adults here, we take Airborne more often now and that seems to work in me pretty good. I will take that several times a day and even before bed. The amount of Vitamin C in those tablets are tremendous and I guess it really helps!

I’ve only taken those Vitamin C drops myself since Alex forbids the kids to eat hard candies if they are not attached to a stick (a.k.a. lollipop… for fear of choking), so we’ve been giving them Flintstones Gummi Vitamins instead. The Pediacare elixir we probably should have given the kids earlier, and the weather wasn’t of much help these weeks either.

I am sorry to hear about the family sickness. Ours are probably not that much better … though knock on wood, everyone is fine now. I used to like Winter because of the holidays and Christmas shopping :) , but now I long for Summer all the time!! We are rarely sick in the summer and can do a lot more stuff in the weekends with the kids.
Hope everyone will get better soon!

Poor you! Hope you guys all feel better soon. Lately I’ve been given the kids Halls Defense Vitamin C drops everyday and it seems to help. Once they get a runny noise, I quickly give them Pedicare the day (multi-symptom cold) & nightRest and it seems to get rid of their cold quickly.
