Nicholas says to us constantly… “can we have Cup Noodle for snack?”. Of course we always tell him that it’s for emergency backup food not for everyday, but that doesn’t usually stop him from asking. But whenever he asks, I’d correct him by saying… no it’s not Cup Noodle, It’s Cup O’Noodle -or- Cup of Noodle, and this went back and forth until one time he pointed out to me the words on the packaging and guess what? He’s right? I wonder when the company decided to drop the O in the middle. Anyways, Nicholas always read words and phrases verbatim and even though it’d sound funny, he’d be absolutely correct in its literal expression. Now I look at words/phrases in a whole new light.
