Birthday Party for Cap’n Nick & Dread Pirate Wes
We had a pirate party yesterday to celebrate Nicholas and Wesley’s birthdays. Here’s the invitation (just for memory’s sake):
Hear ye… Hear ye…. ya wee fellas are invited to take part in the celebration of Cap’n Nick & Dread Pirate Wes’ birthdaya at a Pump it up private party.
Here’s me plan for the fete:
10:30am - receive pirate’s code of conduct
10:45am - the swashbucklin’ fun begins
12:05pm - eat! me hearties eat!
12:45pm - Arrr, the end ayeHosted by:
Master Truong, foreman o’ our crew
Lady Grace, Queen o’ the rambunctious crew
The kids had a blast and some of the adults were quite adventurous too. Even Grace’s mom got into the action and scurried up to the tallest inflatable in her nylons (which proved to be a detriment to the climb). Apparently, Nicholas came to grandma’s rescue when she got stuck in one of the pits/pockets of the structure… he gave her an anchoring tug from the other side to get her momentum going past the hump. We all had a good laugh over that when she told us of what transpired. Having been through the structure, she marveled at how the kids managed to so quickly and effectively scour and maneuver through the “inflatable maze”…. I guess we adults are so used to road markers but you certainly won’t find them readily available here. I was most proud of the little pirate maidens (Emily, Nicole, Allison, and Katelyn… just to name a few) who conquered great heights and swooped to their hearts’ content. All the boys were jumping, climbing, sliding, and going on like how little buccaneers would. The only drawback was that the fun finally had to come to an end.
