On Sunday, we went to Uncle Van’s house for their annual birthday/anniversary celebration. My sister-in-law and the rest of her family always cook up a huge feast to serve up the 80+ people coming in/out of their home all day long so the BBQ is pretty much going all day with Alex’s brother tending to the grill. It was good seeing everyone including my in-laws who’s been busy helping out Alex sister with her new baby. The only other interesting event is that mid-way through the BBQ, they held a mass service inside their home. My sister-in-law is a devout Catholic and their friends are mostly from church so while that was going on indoors, we just hung out in their backyard. I never even knew you can hold mass outside the confines of a church… something new to be learned every day.
