Chronicles of Narnia

Today, we dropped off the kids at daycare for a couple of hours so that Alex and I could head over to catch a showing of the Chronicles of Narnia. I’ve read this story as a child but only treated it as a story with no deeper meaning than that. Now after seeing this movie, I am able to appreciate the story much more as an adult. I may have to reread this story again one day (like happythoughts), but when will I find the time? Tilda Swinton was perfect for that part as the witch. She’s a magnificent actress you just love to hate. And Liam Neeson was regal as the voice of the Lion. Before seeing the movie, I wondered who’d be better to do the voiceover for the Lion than James Earl Jones (or Sean Connery… having been the voice of the dragon in Dragonheart). My sister guessed Jeremy Irons which would’ve been good enough for me, but maybe they stayed away from James Earl and Jeremy in fear of their association with the Lion King. Go, enjoy and see for yourself.

  1. Guess what? I finished reading the story, but I haven’t seen the movie like I said I would. Instead I watched Memoirs of a Geisha instead. Wayne and Matthew watched Narnia. Now I have to go by myself :)
