Chicken Little
Yesterday, we took the kids to see their first movie at an AMC threatre. Boy, that was a whole new experience for them. We hesitated so many times before since we were afraid that Wesley would get scared or was just too young to have enjoyed the experience, but we finally did it! We didn’t introduce the kids to any of the concession foods yet (although we saw Nicholas’ eyes grow with excitement over the popcorn at the stands). And can you believe they offer booster seats for little kids. That’s cool!
I guess Chicken Little is Walt Disney’s first attempt at making a movie without Pixar and I’d have to say that they did a fairly splendid job. I think they tried to play up the story line more than wow us with their animation feats, but the kids gave it their stamp of approval. Nicholas got more apprehensive about some of the scenes (I won’t give away any plots), but Wesley was fully engaged for the duration of the movie. It’s a heartwarming tale for all I think.
