Wesley was selected as the star student of the week. His classroom picks a star of the week based on participation, enthusiasm, and good behavior in class. Last Friday, Wesley came home with a big sticker on his sleeve accompanied by a star certificate, and he told us that as star student he gets to be line leader and have lots of special privileges so we were very proud of course and even more excited that he is showing some enthusiasm at school.

Miss Sara (who’s substituting for Ms. Swati while she’s still out on leave) also told me how excited he was last week during science over the subject of spiders. Apparently, his attention during science was immense, and he even shared lots of interesting facts with his teachers and friends. One thing I know about Wesley is that he loves to spew facts especially about living creatures so the teachers definitely caught his interest last week.
