Nicholas Updates

Proud Moments:
Being able to read the description of a product Wesley picked up making Wesley very happy indeed.
Learning to play a Sonatina which requires 2-handed simultaneous play on the piano. A crowning achievement in our eyes…. an exciting moment for him as well
Reads to us each night the books he’s brought home from school. These […]

Maytag Marathon (Neptune Washer)

We should compete in a Maytag Marathon… not for how long their washer will go without service, but for the number of record breaks recorded. Our washer was broken for the 5th time within its 3 years of ownership. We bought the warrantee finally after the 3rd break but apparently we need a total of […]

Lunch Thermos (cont’d)

So after our last Thermos fiasco, I decided to get a stainless steel thermos (as suggested by Sandra) to try out. We found these cute themed kid’s thermos (Cars, Hello Kitty, Superman, Camouflage Blue, Bratz, etc) at Target on sale this past weekend for $12 each. There’s even a matching stainless steel drink thermos that […]

We had a wonderful time on Saturday at the Jarvinen’s for a BBQ pool party. It certainly doesn’t feel like it’s more than 100 degrees when you are submerged in a swimming pool. Our kids had a great time in the water, and later on they both managed to […]

Ah… the comfort of A/C!

We had a weekend full of power outages which started Saturday afternoon (although we knew nothing of it having been away for the day at a friend’s house till 10pm at night), but a half an hour or so after we returned home, […]

That darned thermos…

We got Nicholas a new Aladdin Heat ‘n’Go thermos to bring hot lunches to school and today we packed him some yummy homemade chili mac from the night before. Well, at 11:30am, his school called to tell us that no one in the school was able to open his thermos (probably because the food was […]
